Rule of Thumb When planning the receiving line at a wedding it is important to allocate enough time to greet all guests and stay on your schedule. It takes approximately 20 seconds per guest. For a wedding with 150 people, estimate the receiving line taking about 45 minutes. This plays a key part in planning your timeline for the day. Happy Friday!
This has been a whirlwind week with the launch of the Designer's Challenge. There's been so much exciting activity, themes are coming in - this is going to be FANTASTIC! I know that posting has been light this week but we promise to be back to our regular scheduled program soon with lots of inspiration to share next week. Until then, I leave you with this Sparkling Tip!
Are you tired of the same Bouquet and Garter Toss?
Instead of having all of the single ladies and men 'fight" for each for the bouquet and garter, how about honoring the couple that have been married the most amount of years. Have all couples join the bride and groom on the dance floor for a song, then have the DJ ask guest to leave the dance floor as he counts up the number of years that represent how many years they have been married. The couple remaining on the dance floor has been married the longest, present them with the bouquet and garter!

Today, we are excited to introduce our new series on our blog called "A Little Sparkling Tip". When we started this blog, we stated that one of our missions would be to not only bring you wonderful inspiration but tips and tutorials for your own creations. So starting every Tuesday or Thursday you can expect to get "A Little Sparkling Tip" to help add the "Sparkle Effect" to your events. Some will be small and some not so small, but each guaranteed to add a little something sparkling to your event.
My first tip is for our destination wedding brides.... or even for guests that are traveling to and from your state side wedding. Making your guests a "Travel Snack Pack" is a wonderful way to say farewell to your guests! Most couples give welcome gifts to their guest upon arrival but how about doing something different by sending them home with some sweet treats for their journey home. If they are flying make sure that all of the treats are travel size and meet FAA requirements to get through security.
This is a wonderful and sweet touch to end their wedding experience. Remember to K.I.S.S. - Keep It Sugary Sweet!
