{Real Invitations} Prince in Progress Baby Shower Invitations

A couple of weeks I introduced my "Princess in Progress" baby shower invitations and immediately got questioned "what about my little prince?"  So here ya go!  "Prince in Progress" in one of my favorite color combinations.  I chose to give this invitation a more modern color scheme of turquoise and orange! Honestly, I'm not a fan of pale blue for baby showers, it seems so traditional, "blue for boys and pink for girls." So I went with bright fun colors.

These are 5x7'' printed on heavy lux cotton cardstock for a matte finish.

I love rounded corners, they give such a nice elegant touch. 

I've also included some "Princess in Progress" tags that I made to accompany the "Princess in Progress" invitations for a baby shower in a couple of weeks.

Due to a couple of questions from clients, I want to make some disclaimers and clarifications about Sparkling Events & Designs, LLC:
* Printing - I do not print in house.  All of my invitations are printed and cut from a professional print house on a digital or offset press.  Any additional embellishments are completed by hand.  This ensures the absolute best quality to my clients.
* Scheduling - Because I design from scratch and do not print in house, I do require at least a 3-4 week turnaround to ensure the best quality for non-wedding invitations.  Wedding invitations follow a different schedule.  Rush orders can be accommodated but a fee will apply.
* Shopping Cart - I have gotten this a lot lately. Why don't I have a Shopping Cart?  Well, that's not really my business model.  Again, I consider my invitations to be couture and I want to give my clients luxurious designer invitations.  So, I'm on the fence about offering my invitations in a Shopping Cart right now.  If you do see something that you like from my galleries and want it, just let me know and we can customize it for you.  In the meantime, I'll think about that Shopping Cart! ;)

{Favor Tags} Slime Time Labels and Tags

Happy Monday!  I'm still recuperating from this weekend's event.  I must say it was absolutely STUNNING.  I have many lessons learned that I will probably blog about this week but all in all, it was great!  I wasn't able to get many photos because I was so busy but I had a wonderful photographer come to cover the event.  I can't wait to see them!  In the meantime, we are revisiting our Slime Time invitations. I completed the matching gable box labels and favor tags for the party.  How cute!  I love the m&m molecules tags... ;)

{Real Party} Sparkes Family Easter Egg Hunt

Happy Easter Monday!

Whew, what a weekend!  We held our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday and it was so much fun! We had a great turn out and my girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves.  If you remember the invitation, I kept the food sweet and simple.  On the menu; chocolate dipped marshmallows, red velvet truffles (my daughter called them trump-a-lump-akins), pineapple upside-down angel food cake, peeps, and of course.... CUPCAKES!  For this event I was determined to make my own cake icing.  I've been wanting to learn how to make buttercream icing for a sometime now. Well, Jess from Party Box Design shared her recipe on her blog a little while ago and I decided to try it!  It was YUMMY!!!!  (Thank you Jess!)  I even dyed the icing pink.  :)  I was so proud of myself.  My cupcake decorating skills still need much improvement, however, I'm making baby steps!  Here are a few pictures from the egg hunt!

Here I am, Ebony "Stuart" as I was affectionately named on Saturday!  It is very rare to get me in a picture these days, but since I have a 6 month old, I still get the wave the "it's baby weight" flag! :)

Pink & Green Chocolates and Favor Tags

On Friday I was asked to make some favors for a cute Pink and Green baby shower on Saturday. Yes, you read correctly, the very next day!  It was a quick turnaround but I was happy to help!  I made some cute pink and green chocolate treats using molds that included a rattle, rubber ducky, and baby blocks.  I added this cute scalloped circle Thank You tag with some curly ribbon!  Voila!  Look how cute they look on top of my Fabulous Find cake pedestal from Costco!

Our 1st Free Printable - St. Patrick's Day Tags!

I've been super busy lately but I had to take a mini break due to a loss in my family this weekend.  I'm half way back, getting into the swing of things again.   I thought I would post my first downloadable print yourself design.  St. Patrick's Day tags!  I love tags... I made some cute cupcake toppers for my daughter's 3rd birthday last year and once I found out how incredibly easy they are to make, I make them all the time.  You can download the file below, print on label paper and use a 2 inch circle punch and you've got a label! Print them on regular card stock use the circle punch and adhere it to a lollipop stick and you've got a cupcake topper!  Here are some of the fun toppers I made today by using a circled scallop punch.
