Fall Wedding Flowers

Monday, November 1, 2010

Here in Virginia the leaves are turning beautiful shades of yellow,  orange and red. It looks completely amazing mixed in with the shades of green leaves.   It is truly one of the most beautifulest time of year here in the Shenandoah Valley.  Just driving down the highways and by-ways is quite extraordinary during this time.  This weekend when we were driving around and visiting the farms, I couldn't help but to notice how striking the trees are and the beauty. I couldn't help but to wonder about fall wedding flowers, so I went searching and found these beautiful arrangements to share inspire and share with you.

For beautiful fall wedding flowers consider, orchids, roses, holly, red berries, narcissus and winter jasmine.  Fantastic accents would be varying shades of green leaves and embellishments.

A few days ago, I came across a wonderful wedding planning site and blog that has so much beautiful wedding inspiration called Wedding Nouveau.  Where oh where were these sites when I was planning my wedding!  Thank goodness I get to live vicariously through my brides and other hostesses.

Look at this beautiful glamourous wedding that was featured on Wedding Nouveau, called Persian Italian Meringue inspired wedding.  Absolutely beautiful.
Look at this gorgeous dessert table.

{Wedding Eye Candy} The beauty of a Civil Ceremony

Monday, April 19, 2010

A few weeks ago I was surfing around some of my favorite blogs and came across this beautifully photographed civil ceremony on "The Bride's Cafe" blog.  I literally fell in love with this couple and the beauty of their wedding ceremony.  I love the story that each photo tells. The photographer Tunji Samuri from Tunji Samuri Photography captured some beautiful moments from this wedding.    Here are a few photos from the wedding.  Go on over to The Bride's Cafe for all of the pictures.

Enjoy!

{Wedding Eye Candy} Untraditional Venue Location - Parking Garage

Friday, April 2, 2010

I've heard of some pretty untraditional wedding locations but this by all means is UNTRADITIONAL.  Today's wedding eye candy comes from the Style Me Pretty blog and features a wedding that was held in a parking garage.  Yes, I said parking garage.  From the beautiful photos from Hannah Bergman, of Steve Steinhardt Photography you would have never been able to tell that this wedding and reception was held on the rooftop of a parking garage.  It looks just absolutely beautiful! Go on over to Style Me Pretty for all of the gorgeous details.

There is one theme about this wedding that I'm absolutely in love with,  this bride and groom stayed true to their desires to be unconventional and it came out just beautiful.  Couples take note, stay true to your desires and don't conform to opinions of parents, friends or family.

I love the orange shoes!
More and more brides are selecting colored shoes instead of the traditional white shoe!
 Loves it!

How cute are the bridesmaid ensembles?  Very different!

Have a Happy Weekend!  The weather is gorgeous and I can't wait to get outside!

Alice in Wonderland Inspiration

Friday, March 12, 2010

Last Friday, Disney's new Alice in Wonderland movie was released, yes I know this post is a little late but I really did try to get it out earlier.  :)  However, it's never to late for a little eye candy and inspiration!  While the movie is not your typical Alice in Wonderland movie (it's directed by Tim Burton, enough said), I wanted to take this opportunity to highlight some beautiful Alice in Wonderland inspired event ideas. Off with her head!

Enjoy!

From Lollipop Events & Designs - Alice in Wonderlandia - I love all of the different fabric patterns and how they all seem to work so well together.

Jessica Claire Photography - I love the paper lanterns and the tea cups sitting on top of the butterflies.  So cute

Party Wishes - Transforming the pergola was absolutely beautiful and what a great space to use for a party!

Swoon swoon swoon over that tent and ballooned foxhole! What a lucky birthday kid!

So now I'm thinking this might be the theme for my daughter's birthday party this year.....
