{Fabulous Features} Spring Has Sprung - Gorgeous Real Party Inspiration

Friday, April 22, 2011

TGIF!
Today I have two fabulous designs that I just must share with my readers. I saw these earlier this week and fell in L-O-V-E.  Spring has definitely sprung and these floral designs are simply magnificent.  I would expect nothing less from the fabulous Events by Sarah Elizabeth and Sandra Downie Event Designs.

Both designers participated in a "designers' challenge" {which sounds like crazy fun to me BTW} from the Best Wedding Site.  Both designs are just gorgeous and different which is why I wanted to share them both!  The challenge was to create a bridal shower using the colors bumble gum pink, mint green and robin's egg blue!  What a fun color combination.
Events by Sarah Elizabeth
One of my favorite details about this design is the use of nature in every element.  Simply stunning!  Job well done Sarah.

This is a gorgeous dessert table. I love the mix of the flowers, branches (twigs) and colorful desserts.  So many different things on the table that just all "work" together effortlessly.

Make your own fruit kabob station... CLEVER and healthy!

Next up, the super fabulous Sandra Downie of Sandra Downie Event Designs. Same challenge with different flair... Vintage Glam... Swoon!

Did you see that napkin ring?  Let's take a closer look.
There is nothing more that I love then a little sparkle.
Simple, elegant and beautiful dessert table.  Fabulous as always Sandra!

{Fabulous Real Party} Hollywood Glam Bridal Shower

Monday, August 30, 2010

Happy Monday!

This past weekend I had the honor of co-hosting a bridal shower for one of my very best friends.  The bridal party worked together to create a spectacular event for her.  Of course I volunteered to do the décor for the event, I actually volunteered for another area initially and my friends looked at me like I was crazy.  So of course I obliged and took décor as my area.  I was inspired by the old Hollywood glam theme so I choose to do red and gold combinations.  It was truly beautiful.    I got the “Ebony, you’ve outdone yourself!” several times. So I was happy that everyone was pleased with my vision.

I chose to use Manzanita trees for this shower.  I have seen these with the crystals and had been dying to do them, so this was the perfect opportunity.  I think that they came out beautiful and the bride to be and all of the guest truly loved them.  I love  to use bling and sparkles at a bridal shower, it just seems so fitting.

Maggiano’s catered the delicious food.  Yum Yum Good!   The favors were customized wine glasses that we tagged with a sparkling gold paper scalloped tags.

Enjoy!

{Featured Party} Paris in the Springtime Birthday Party

Monday, August 2, 2010

This party is one of the cutest parties that I've seen in a while and it is totally girlie, which I LOVE.  I found this party on Kara's Party Ideas.  If you haven't gone over there yet, you really should.  She post amazing parties that give you so much inspiration. The lovely shower was styled by Icing Designs and it is so gorgeous!  Great job ladies! I'm working on a baby shower for a Haute, Couture and Fashion Forward Mommy, so this theme immediately came to mind.

Here are some lovely eye candy photos from this super cute party! I love the French Lace and Pom Poms!

{Real Party} Black & White Damask with Fuchsia and Blue Bridal Shower - Part 2

Thursday, May 27, 2010

Wow! I've gotten so much response from the first post of my black & white damask bridal shower!  I'm so excited!  So today I'm featuring the rest of the gorgeous details from the shower.
The food was catered from Baha Fresh because my sister specifically requested it. I was able to "dress" up the food using white platters of different sizes.  I made some risers by wrapping boxes in fuchsia and turquoise wrapping paper and black ribbon.  Everyone raved about how great the food was. I found these beautiful damask table linens from TJ MaXX!
These pictures make me hungry!

All of the little details just pulled everything together.  Lovely water bottle labels and apothecary job containers filled with Strawberry Lemonade and Peach Sangria labels.

The beautiful cake!

Here are the name tags that we made for each guest.  Along with the guest book and photo album of pictures of the bride over the years!

The beautiful bride to be arriving, completely stunned!

Me, my sister and My mom (AKA - SED's secret weapon).  This picture definitely belongs in a frame.
Either I'm sitting in awe of how beautiful the shower was or I'm exhausted and thinking, I'm so glad this is over! :)

And finally....MY SIGN! :)
