“Inspired by the red carpet, worn on the white carpet” David Tutera

Monday, February 1, 2010

This weekend I was reading my new issue of Brides magazine and came across the advertisement for David Tutera's "red carpet-inspired" wedding gowns and I thought....humm that sounds familiar.  I recently posted a blog "From the Red Carpet to the White Aisle" so I guess great minds think alike.   In September 2009, David joined forces with special occasion dress house Faviana to create a new line "David Tutera By Faviana".  This line will feature gowns inspired by dresses worn on the red carpet by celebrities and should be available in now!

From David's Website:

I have been planning and designing high-profile weddings for over 20 years and know what brides look for in the search for the perfect dress,” says DavidTutera. “Walking down the aisle at a wedding ceremony is like walking down a runway. I am delighted to work with Faviana to bring celebrity style to the bride through red carpet fashion trends translated into wedding day styles at accessible prices. Every bride should feel like a celebrity on the biggest day of her life…her wedding.”

"Inspired by the red carpet, worn on the white carpet" is the signature of these new luxury bridal gowns for brides who want to capture the essence of celebrity style for their big day. Each wedding gown is inspired by celebrity red carpet fashions to bring couture wedding dresses to the market at prices that make sense for today's bride.
Each wedding gown has been intricately designed down to every last detail, from the taffeta-rolled roses of Eva to the beautifully beaded neckline of Audrey. Every one of these uniquely special bridal gowns has been inspired by a famous red carpet icon. Whether it be the princess-esque tulle skirt on Sarah Jessica Parker's Oscar gown, or the flower-adorned hem on Fergie's bridal gown, the David Tutera by Faviana collection makes these idolized celebrity styles accessible to the average everyday bride, making her look and feel anything but average.
At David Tutera by Faviana, it is important to create a wedding gown that fulfills a fantasy for each unique bride. Each bridal gown portrays a distinctive look with designs ranging from classic and beautiful to dramatic and innovative. The variety of silhouettes and fabrics allow each and every bride to find a wedding gown that reveals the movie star glamour they seek.

.....
In case you missed it, David Tutera has a hit show on WE tv, called My Fair Wedding where in just 3 short weeks David's transforms the couples wedding into a platinum styled event! He is a true inspiration!

Here are a few of his dresses.....  the name of the dress should tell you who inspired it from the red carpet! :)
